Gymnastics...Round Two!

We decided to sign the kids up for one more session of gymnastics.  They were having so much fun and beginning to really show their true colors the last week of the 1st session.  We didn't want them to take a year off when they were just warming up.  They're not in daycare and really need the instruction from a teacher and the interaction with other kids their age.  So to make a long story short...after a lot of convincing, daddy was on board too! Here are some pictures from Round 2 of gymnastics.

First, there's stretching and warm up.

Then, there's floor exercises!

Then off to the balance beam....

The next apparatus was one of my favorites as a child...the uneven bars.

And the finale which is the kids' favorite thing to do...run and jump into the pit!

They got to do this three or four times last week, they were so happy!

We have been very busy with friends this past week.  The Clementi's are in town from New York and we've had lots of play dates in just the first week they were here.  I'm working on getting those pictures up very soon.  We have been blessed with perfect warm spring and beach weather here.  Lexi begs us to go to the beach almost everyday...the kids have gone 3 times in one week so Lexi's been very happy!

Incredible Full Moon

Friday night I hope everyone stepped outside to see the incredible full moon.  It was absolutely gorgeous!  I had so much fun photographing this beautiful spectacle.  Devin and I sat out in the front yard for a good 30-45 minutes just talking about the moon.  It also helped delay his bedtime by 30-45 minutes so he loved it!  It was hard to choose but these are a handful of my favorite shots.

Jo Jo's First Annual Valentine's Celebration!

Last Saturday was the most fun I've had in a very long time.  Joanne invited around 25 girls over to her home for her 1st annual Valentine's celebration.  It was so nice and so much fun to spend time and catch up with some of the nicest girls in town.  Joanne has the best variety of friends; from different social groups if you will.  We all meshed together like a variety of grapes that when stomped together make a fine wine.  I think that  says something about Joanne and the friends she chooses to keep by her side.  There was a deeper meaning behind this Valentine celebration.  Joanne lost her husband Jeremiah on February 13, 2009 when she was just 6-8 weeks pregnant with Miah Jane.  Obviously February is a hard month (harder than the other 11 hard months I guess).  Her birthday also falls in February.  She felt like she had lost and completely dreaded the month of February altogether.  This year she decided she didn't want do that; she wanted her February back!  So what better way to celebrate Valentine's Day then being surrounded by 25 of your closest friends and family members.  She has decided to try do this every year.  That way she will be busy planning something fun in February and take her mind off of why she deep down inside still, and most likely always will, dread the month.  I hope planning the party helped a little but I know what helps her the most...Her little 'bandaid' Miah Jane.  She was there to celebrate with us to, until bedtime that is.

Showing off some dancing moves...

Wanna be my Valentine?

If I get on my knees and beg, pretty please?

The cutest girl at the party!

Who me?  Ah shucks...thank you!

And some other beautiful women.......
Mindi and Denise

Kara, Dierdre and Monet

Valerie and Tanya

Meghan, Suzanne, Amanda and Mindi

Kelly, Joanne, Leah, Tesa and Kara
M.J., Tanya and Kim

Introducing Sherri Grace...a sweet little girl many people were anxious to meet.

These next ladies (me included) stayed until the very end and brought down the house.  For a bunch of mommies, 1:30 is bringing down the house! :)

The damage done...now remember there were approximately 25 people at the party.  That considered, this is not that bad.  Never-the-less, we had a great time...Silver Oak PEOPLE!!

After everyone left the party; the dancing began.  FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Love you ladies...love you Jo Jo....Happy Valentine's Day!

Joanne will have decades of February's to remember the past.  I am so happy I could be a part of a celebration kick starting a tiny bit of hope, love and fun for her.  Here's to getting Joanne's February back!!  Watch out biotches!!  Her friends aren't going anywhere anytime soon. :)  We love you so much Joanne and Miah Jane.  Thank you for having such a great party and letting all of us be a part of it. xoxo
